Terms and conditions

These terms govern your use of Maa Se, a home-cooked meal subscription service operated from Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. By creating an account or subscribing to any of our plans, you agree to the terms below. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

1. Who we are

“Maa Se”, “we”, “us”, or “our” refers to the business operating from the address listed on our Contact page. Our service is currently available only within the city of Bengaluru.

2. What we offer

Meal subscriptions prepared by home-based cooks and delivered to supported office locations and neighbourhoods within Bengaluru, Monday through Friday, typically between 12:30 PM and 1:30 PM IST. We do not deliver on Saturdays, Sundays, or public holidays. Delivery windows are best-effort; minor variations are normal.

Subscriptions are purchased as either weekly, monthly, or custom packs. Pricing at the time of purchase is binding for the duration of that subscription. Pricing for new subscriptions may change without prior notice.

3. Ordering and scheduling

  • Meal credits purchased through a subscription can be scheduled against eligible delivery dates within the subscription window.
  • You may cancel or modify a scheduled meal subject to our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
  • Menus are published weekly in advance and are subject to availability. Individual dishes may change based on ingredient supply or the cook’s discretion.
  • You are responsible for providing accurate delivery location details. Missed deliveries caused by incorrect or inaccessible addresses are not eligible for refund.

4. Food allergies and dietary restrictions

Our cooks prepare food in home kitchens where multiple ingredients, including common allergens such as dairy, nuts, gluten, and mustard oil, are used. We cannot guarantee any meal is free from trace contact with any allergen. Customers with allergies or dietary restrictions must disclose them at signup and before any subscription change, and remain responsible for deciding whether the service is safe for them.

5. Account, WhatsApp, and communications

Your account is tied to a WhatsApp phone number that you verify through our handshake process. We use that number for order confirmations, delivery updates, payment reminders, and support. You agree to receive these messages as long as your subscription is active. You may request a change of contact number through customer support.

6. Payments

Payments are collected in Indian Rupees through UPI or through authorised payment gateways we integrate with over time. Payment is due in full before meal credits are issued. Subscriptions do not auto-renew unless explicitly stated at signup.

7. Service availability

We may pause, reschedule, or refund deliveries in response to circumstances beyond our control, including cook unavailability, supply disruptions, public holidays, civic unrest, severe weather, or other events. Where we cancel a delivery, the affected credit is returned to your balance in full.

8. Your responsibilities

  • Treat our cooks, delivery partners, and support staff with respect. We reserve the right to terminate any subscription, without refund for unused credits beyond our standard refund policy, in the event of abuse or harassment.
  • Provide truthful information at signup and keep your contact details current.
  • Do not resell, transfer, or misrepresent our service.

9. Refunds and cancellations

Please refer to our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these terms.

10. Intellectual property

All text, imagery, branding, and software associated with Maa Se remain the property of Maa Se. You may not reproduce, redistribute, or reuse any of it for commercial purposes without written consent.

11. Limitation of liability

Our liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the total amount you have paid us in the subscription period during which the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or fraud.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always posted on this page, and significant changes will be notified to active subscribers via WhatsApp before they take effect.

13. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising from or in connection with the service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka.
